HEADLINES
• Congress returns this week from a two-week recess, with the House continuing to showcase Democrats’ legislative priorities and the Senate processing Trump administration nominees under new accelerated rules.
• President Donald Trump will meet with Democratic congressional leaders Tuesday to discuss infrastructure, prescription drug prices and other issues.
• A trade delegation led by Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer will be in Beijing, as the United States and China continue work toward a trade agreement.
HOUSE
<ul>
 	<li>The House is in session today through Thursday. The <a href="https://www.majorityleader.gov/content/weekly-leader-april-26-2019">agenda</a> centers on the <a href="https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/BILLS-116hr9rh/pdf/BILLS-116hr9rh.pdf">Climate Action Now Act</a>.</li>
 	<li>The House Rules Committee will hold a <a href="https://rules.house.gov/bill/116/hr-1384">hearing</a> on the <a href="https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/BILLS-116hr1384ih/pdf/BILLS-116hr1384ih.pdf">Medicare for All Act</a>.</li>
 	<li>Appropriations work begins in earnest as the subcommittee that funds the Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Departments <a href="https://appropriations.house.gov/events/markups/fy2020-labor-health-and-human-services-education-and-related-agencies-subcommittee">marks up</a> its bill.</li>

SENATE
<ul>
 	<li>The Senate will consider several Trump <a href="https://www.senate.gov/legislative/calendars.htm">nominees</a>, after changing its rules to process the nominations more quickly.</li>
 	<li>Attorney General William Barr will appear before the Judiciary Committee for a <a href="https://www.judiciary.senate.gov/meetings/the-department-of-justices-investigation-of-russian-interference-with-the-2016-presidential-election">hearing</a> regarding the Justice Department’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential campaign.</li>
 	<li>The Energy and Natural Resources Committee will hold a <a href="https://www.energy.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/hearings-and-business-meetings?ID=588FE47B-C329-42B9-968F-B7B8708E32EA">hearing</a> on nuclear energy.</li>

WHITE HOUSE
<ul>
 	<li>Trump will host House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., for a meeting Tuesday.</li>
 	<li>Trump will participate in <a href="https://nationaldayofprayer.org/">National Day of Prayer</a> events Wednesday and Thursday.</li>
 	<li>Trump will host Slovak Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini on Friday at the White House.</li>
