During a busy week at the White House, President Joe Biden will honor law enforcement, recognize Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, and commemorate the landmark <em>Brown v. Board of Education</em> Supreme Court case.

The House will be in <a href="https://www.majorityleader.gov/schedule/weekly-schedule.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">session</a> tomorrow through Friday, focusing on <a href="https://rules.house.gov/news/announcement/meeting-announcement-may-14-2024" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">legislation</a> to support law enforcement, plus final passage of <a href="https://www.congress.gov/bill/118th-congress/house-bill/3935" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">legislation</a> to reauthorize the Federal Aviation Administration.

Ongoing budget hearings with administration officials include <a href="https://appropriations.house.gov/events/hearings/budget-hearing-fiscal-year-2025-request-federal-trade-commission" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Federal Trade Commission</a> Chair Lina Khan, <a href="https://appropriations.house.gov/events/hearings/budget-hearing-fiscal-year-2025-request-federal-communications-commission" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Federal Communications Commission</a> Chair Jessica Rosenworcel, and <a href="https://edworkforce.house.gov/calendar/eventsingle.aspx?EventID=410541">Health and Human Services</a> Secretary Xavier Becerra.

The Transportation and Infrastructure Committee on Wednesday will hold a <a href="https://transportation.house.gov/calendar/eventsingle.aspx?EventID=407468" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">hearing</a> on the federal response to the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse.

The Senate is scheduled to be in <a href="https://www.senate.gov/legislative/floor_activity_pail.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">session</a> Tuesday through Friday.

Administration witnesses testifying in the Senate include <a href="https://www.appropriations.senate.gov/hearings/a-review-of-the-presidents-fiscal-year-2025-budget-request-for-the-department-of-commerce" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Commerce</a> Secretary Gina Raimondo, and the top officials from the <a href="https://www.appropriations.senate.gov/hearings/strengthening-american-competitiveness-examining-the-roles-of-the-us-international-development-finance-corporation-export-import-bank-of-the-united-states-and-millennium-challenge-corporation" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Export-Import Bank, U.S. International Development Finance Corp. and Millennium Challenge Corp.</a>

The Foreign Relations Committee on Wednesday will hold a <a href="https://www.foreign.senate.gov/hearings/the-future-of-arms-control-and-deterrence-05-15-2024" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">hearing</a> on the future of arms control and deterrence.

The president will <a href="https://www.forth.news/whpool/66415c362b4664032a0c61b3" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">recognize</a> Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month tonight at the White House, and tomorrow will speak at the <a href="https://www.apaics.org/annual-awards-gala" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies 30th Annual Awards Gala</a>.

Wednesday, he will speak at the <a href="https://fop.net/fop-foundation/national-peace-officers-memorial-service/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service</a> at the Capitol.

Biden on Thursday will meet with the plaintiffs from <em>Brown v. Board of Education</em> and their families, and on Friday will speak at an <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/4659418-biden-to-meet-with-brown-v-board-plaintiffs-during-week-of-engagement-with-black-community/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">event</a> commemorating the 70th anniversary of the decision at the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
