On Capitol Hill, both parties are <a href="https://www.politico.com/newsletters/playbook/2023/11/06/trump-testimony-kicks-off-a-jam-packed-week-00125493?nname=playbook&amp;nid=0000014f-1646-d88f-a1cf-5f46b7bd0000&amp;nrid=00000155-8429-dc54-a5ff-b5ff85100000&amp;nlid=630318">strategizing</a> ahead of next Friday’s deadline to extend government funding, while also <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2023/11/02/biden-ukraine-aid-deal-00125125?nname=playbook&amp;nid=0000014f-1646-d88f-a1cf-5f46b7bd0000&amp;nrid=00000155-8429-dc54-a5ff-b5ff85100000&amp;nlid=630318">discussing</a> a path forward on funding for Ukraine and Israel.

Republican presidential hopefuls will take the stage Wednesday in Miami for their third primary <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/3rd-republican-presidential-primary-debate/story?id=104547161">debate</a>, after former President Donald Trump takes the witness stand in New York this morning in his civil fraud <a href="https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/trump-civil-fraud-trial-11-06-23/index.html">trial</a>.

Voters will go to the polls in several states tomorrow for state and local <a href="https://apnews.com/hub/election-2023">elections</a>.

The House will be in <a href="https://www.majorityleader.gov/schedule/weekly-schedule.htm">session</a> today through Thursday, continuing to take up individual appropriations <a href="https://rules.house.gov/">bills</a>.

The House Foreign Affairs Committee on Wednesday will hold a <a href="https://foreignaffairs.house.gov/hearing/friend-and-ally-u-s-support-for-israel-after-hamas-barbaric-attack/">hearing</a> on U.S. support for Israel.

Also Wednesday, the Small Business Committee will hold a <a href="https://smallbusiness.house.gov/calendar/eventsingle.aspx?EventID=405778">hearing</a> on Energy Department regulations.

The Senate will be in <a href="https://www.senate.gov/legislative/floor_activity_pail.htm">session</a> today through Thursday, <a href="https://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/executive_calendar/xcalv.pdf">voting</a> on Dr. Monica Bertagnolli’s nomination to lead the National Institutes of Health, plus more of Biden’s judicial nominees.

The Appropriations Committee on Wednesday will <a href="https://www.appropriations.senate.gov/hearings/a-review-of-the-presidents-supplemental-request-for-the-departments-of-health-and-human-services-and-homeland-security">review</a> the administration’s domestic supplemental funding request with Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

Also Wednesday, the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Intellectual Property will hold a <a href="https://www.judiciary.senate.gov/committee-activity/hearings/reforming-the-patent-trial-and-appeal-board_the-prevail-act-and-proposals-to-promote-us-innovation-leadership">hearing</a> on reforming the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

On his way back from Delaware, Biden will <a href="https://www.delawareonline.com/story/news/2023/11/03/president-biden-in-delaware-new-castle-county-monday-to-tout-66-billion-rail-investment/71440334007/">promote</a> his economic agenda and infrastructure investment.

Biden on Thursday will <a href="https://wgntv.com/news/illinois/president-biden-to-visit-illinois-next-week/">travel</a> to Chicago to promote his economic agenda.

Saturday, he will <a href="https://www.forth.news/whpool/654840e5882a5e35b6ceb07a">commemorate</a> Veterans Day at the White House and Arlington National Cemetery.
