President Joe Biden is in New York City for the United Nations General Assembly.

Upon his return later this week, Biden will host Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House.

The House will be in <a href="https://www.majorityleader.gov/schedule/weekly-schedule.htm">session</a> tonight through Thursday, attempting again to pass Pentagon funding <a href="https://www.congress.gov/bill/118th-congress/house-bill/4365">legislation</a> after it <a href="https://thehill.com/policy/defense/4202184-conservative-oppositions-stalls-house-vote-on-pentagon-funding-bill/">stalled</a> amid Republican infighting last week.

The House Science, Space, and Technology Committee will hold a <a href="https://science.house.gov/2023/9/chips-on-the-table-a-one-year-review-of-the-chips-and-science-act">hearing</a> tomorrow with Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo on implementation of the <a href="https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/4346">CHIPS and Science Act</a>.

Wednesday, the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee will hold an oversight <a href="https://transportation.house.gov/calendar/eventsingle.aspx?EventID=406858">hearing</a> with Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg.

The Senate will be in <a href="https://www.senate.gov/legislative/floor_activity_pail.htm">session</a> throughout the week, also trying again on spending <a href="https://www.congress.gov/bill/118th-congress/house-bill/4366">legislation</a> that was <a href="https://rollcall.com/2023/09/14/combo-appropriations-package-hits-the-skids-in-senate/">held up</a> last week.

Tomorrow, the Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a <a href="https://www.judiciary.senate.gov/committee-activity/hearings/evading-accountability-corporate-manipulation-of-chapter-11-bankruptcy">hearing</a> titled “Evading Accountability: Corporate Manipulation of Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.”

Thursday, the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee will <a href="https://www.help.senate.gov/hearings/s-1573-s-2415-s-1624-s_-bipartisan-primary-care-and-health-workforce-act">vote</a> on public health legislation, including a bipartisan <a href="https://www.help.senate.gov/chair/newsroom/press/news-sanders-and-marshall-announce-bipartisan-legislation-on-primary-care">agreement</a> aimed at bolstering the primary care workforce.

The president is in New York to attend the <a href="https://foreignpolicy.com/2023/09/14/united-nations-general-assembly-2023-zelensky-development-climate/">United Nations General Assembly</a>, and he will hold several bilateral <a href="https://apnews.com/article/biden-unga-zelenskyy-netanyahu-lula-b1ca735e917314c04b3ac6d533c3b3db">meetings</a>.

Thursday, Biden will <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2023/09/15/world/europe/zelensky-biden-congress-ukraine.html">host</a> Ukrainian President Zelensky at the White House.

Thursday evening, he will speak at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s <a href="https://events.chci.org/event/fcb333d5-4e78-49a4-b887-f7fc7fa5bacc/websitePage:2cc92be9-c7a4-4f12-ab1f-8f986ed48dfa">46th Annual Awards Gala</a>.
