Congress is plugging away at must-pass legislation, including the House taking up its Federal Aviation Administration reauthorization this week while the Senate begins consideration of annual Defense policy legislation.

Wednesday, Herzog will address a joint session of Congress.

The House will be in&nbsp;<a href="https://www.majorityleader.gov/schedule/weekly-schedule.htm">session</a>&nbsp;tonight through Thursday, taking up&nbsp;<a href="https://transportation.house.gov/faa-reauthorization/">legislation</a>&nbsp;to reauthorize the Federal Aviation Administration. Herzog will&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/israel-herzog-address-congress-mccarthy-biden-netanyahu-6789270fce42540ae532c80b3b8396ef">address</a>&nbsp;Congress Wednesday.

The Energy and Commerce Committee will hold a&nbsp;<a href="https://energycommerce.house.gov/events/energy-climate-and-grid-security-subcommittee-legislative-hearing-american-nuclear-energy-expansion-updating-policies-for-efficient-predictable-licensing-and-deployment">hearing</a>&nbsp;tomorrow on legislation to promote American nuclear energy.

Also tomorrow, the Financial Services Committee will hold three separate subcommittee hearings, on&nbsp;<a href="https://financialservices.house.gov/calendar/eventsingle.aspx?EventID=408901">FinCEN’s Beneficial Ownership Rulemaking</a>,&nbsp;<a href="https://financialservices.house.gov/calendar/eventsingle.aspx?EventID=408903">climate risks and financial rulemaking</a>, and&nbsp;<a href="https://financialservices.house.gov/calendar/eventsingle.aspx?EventID=408902">oversight of the SEC’s Division of Corporate Finance</a>.

The Senate will be in&nbsp;<a href="https://www.senate.gov/legislative/floor_activity_pail.htm">session</a>&nbsp;throughout the week, beginning debate on its version of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024.

The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee on Thursday will&nbsp;<a href="https://www.help.senate.gov/hearings/s-___-pandemic-and-all-hazards-preparedness-and-response-act">take up</a>&nbsp;pandemic preparedness legislation.

The Judiciary Committee on Thursday will&nbsp;<a href="https://www.help.senate.gov/hearings/s-___-pandemic-and-all-hazards-preparedness-and-response-act">take up</a>&nbsp;a Supreme Court ethics bill.

Biden tomorrow will&nbsp;<a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2023/07/13/statement-from-press-secretary-karine-jean-pierre-on-the-visit-of-president-isaac-herzog-of-israel-2/">host</a>&nbsp;Israeli President Isaac Herzog for meetings at the White House.

Wednesday, the president will convene his&nbsp;<a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/competition/">Competition Council</a>&nbsp;and host the Congressional Picnic on the South Lawn.

Thursday, Biden will travel to Philadelphia to&nbsp;<a href="https://www.forth.news/whpool/64b290da84f7369f72b0dd27">discuss</a>&nbsp;his economic agenda.
